Sanctuary, 224 (Event)

At midmorning in her room, Temple throws Popeye's suits into the corner of the room and rips down her dresses from the closet. She finds an automatic pistol and hides it under her pillow. Temple steps out of her room to the top of the stairs for the first time. Temple asks Minnie to bring her a drink, and she takes a gin back to her room. At 5pm, she sees Miss Reba go down the street. Temple puts on a hat and goes downstairs. She bribes Minnie with twenty dollars to let her leave the brothel for ten minutes. Temple walks down the street and into a drug store on the corner where she goes into the telephone booth at the back. She then returns to the brothel and goes back to her room. At 6:30pm Minnie brings Temple's supper up to her room. Temple continues drinking and smoking while pacing the room. Around 9pm she gets dressed and leaves the brothel again. Popeye intercepts her in a car in the street. Temple gets into the car.
