The "crowd" of "folks" in the barbershop to whom Burch brags about hijacking whiskey would not include any women, but it does include Mr. Maxey and Captain McLendon, and because Christmas facetiously tells his partner that he is "keeping these folks from working," it must also include the barbers (80).
