Lorie Watkins is a Professor of English at William Carey University. She received her Ph.D. at the University of Southern Mississippi in 2007. Her research interests include southern literature, African American literature, and American modernism. She is the author of William Faulkner, Gavin Stevens, and the Cavalier Tradition, edited and contributed to A Literary History of Mississippi, and edits the annual Publications of the Mississippi Philological Association (POMPA).
