Parsham: Linscomb's Stables in The Reivers (Location)

Lucius compares the stable that he enters at Colonel Linscomb's to his father's place of business with a kind of awe: it "was as big as our dedicated-to-a-little-profit livery [stable] in Jefferson and a good deal cleaner" (220). It includes a tack room and an office. Since Lucius later refers to the Colonel's "stables," this may not the only one he owns (274).

Parsham: Schoolhouse Shed in The Reivers (Location)

Since Parsham is to small to include a jail and the sheriff's office in Hardwick is thirteen miles away, prisoners who have to be confined locally are locked inside "the woodshed behind the schoolhouse" (243).

Parsham: Fishing Hole in The Reivers (Location)

"Mary's hole," as Uncle Parsham calls the place where he takes Lucius to fish, is surrounded by "blackberry thickets" and "willows" (242). There is "even a log to sit on" (242).
