Description:

In “Tomorrow,” the jury members for the Bookwright trial debate the verdict in Mrs. Rouncewell’s boarding house. They are moved to there after it becomes clear that they will not arrive at a decision as quickly as anticipated. When Gavin Stevens, Bookwright's defense attorney, learns that they are meeting in the boarding house's back room, "the room right opposite that mulberry tree'" (93), he asks his nephew Chick to eavesdrop on their deliberations by climbing the mulberry tree outside the back room.
