Summary:
Ratliff tells how Byron Snopes, now in Texas, sent Clarence Snopes four half-Snopes children to take care of and that he used C.O.D. to boot. Because Clarence is a state senator, he uses Doris to do his grunt work, also inventing jokes about the four half-Snopes Indians who take revenge by nearly burning Doris alive.
