Coastal Mississippi in The Town (Location)

Eula tells Gavin about the vacation Flem took her and Linda on in the summer after high school graduation, "to the coast" (339), "so she could swim in the ocean and meet people" (340). The Gulf of Mexico is not technically the "ocean," but it's likely that they went to one of the Mississippi resort towns on the Gulf, like Bay St. Louis, where the Priest family vacations in The Reivers.
