Biography: 

These young fellows in "Hair" are "loafers that pitch dollars all day long in the clubhouse yard" (141) while waiting to flirt with the young girls who walk by. ("Clubhouse" is almost surely a misprint for "court house"; see the Location entry for Courthouse Square.)

Note: 
CUT: Though the fellows are described as hanging around the "club house," but we believe the location is the "court house. In the the Vintage edition of the <em>Collected Stories</em>, the "courthouse" is not mentioned - but this is the place that appears in the original publication in the American Mercury and its first reprinting in These Thirteen, both 1931.)
