Time note: This whole section is frustrating because it relies on the ledge in Flem's house as an anchor date. All of these events appear to occur during the moment when the house is being reworked but after Eula has been buried till about the time when Ratliff finds out that Flem has a ledge installed. In short, this was a huge pain to date and accuracy is fairly limited.
