It is very unlikely that "Louis" here is the "Louis Hatcher" with whom Quentin goes hunting twenty years earlier, because that "Louis" is an old black man who carries but won't even use a hunting horn. Who Mrs. Compson's "Louis" is, however, is never made any clearer.
