Summary:
Ab Snopes and Ratliff make their way towards town with the team of mules they traded with Pat Stamper. The mules turn out to be a terrible team. It takes Ab all of his effort to get them going, and also to stop. Once they have run their errand, Ratliff and Ab find the mules sleeping.
