Summary:
With the help of the assembled men, Buck drives the herd of ponies into the barn. Eck notices that his son, Wallstreet, has not heeded his warning and tells him to get on the other side of the fence. Buck enters the barn, and the men secure the door behind him. Wallstreet again refuses to leave, moving out of his father's field of vision and peering curiously through a knot-hole into the barn. Coming out of the barn by way of second, smaller door, Buck asks if there is feed for his horses besides the shelled corn. He re-enters the barn and fills the feeding-basket with corn pellets for the ponies gathered along the trough.
