Summary:

Ratliff asks the blacksmith to re-shoe his team, and they begin to discuss Eck's eldest boy, Wallstreet, and how the boy had no actual name until last year when I.O. named him. Ratliff asks Eck about his family, discovering that the blacksmith has four children in all. Eck also confirms that he paid the full twenty dollars for Houston's cow and, out of compassion, bought Ike the toy cow for another two bits.
