Summary: 

Mink wakes and finds that Wallstreet has left a note from Lump relating that his wife has money for him. Mink feels a sense of renewal, but soon sees the "black concentric spiraling" of the buzzards above the tree tops and realizes that they are funneling toward Houston's concealed body.
