Summary:

Ike remembers the conversation with his cousin that took place after Sam had told Cass about Ike's close encounter with Old Ben. After asking Ike briefly about that event, Cass takes a book down from a shelf in the room. From it he reads an unnamed poem - it is Keats' "Ode on a Grecian Urn," only a few words of which appear in Faulkner's text - as a poetic representation of what Ike learned in the woods: the "truth" that "covers all things which touch the heart" (282).
