Frontier Settlement (Location Key)

In "A Name for the City" the first settlement that grows up around the Indian agency is described as "a half-dozen log cabins set in a disorderly huddle in the middle of the wilderness" (200). The "men and women pioneers" who live in them (Requiem for a Nun, 3) are the first inhabitants of the place that (before the end of the story) will be called Jefferson, Mississippi.
