Flint House (Location Key)

In "An Error in Chemistry" Wesley Pritchel builds this house, "two miles from his own," for his daughter Ellie after she marries Joel Flint. It is described as near "the little cross-roads hamlet" (114) that, according to the story, is in a "remote country region" that is "twenty-odd miles" from Jefferson (113). The hamlet itself is never named, but the distance and description fits Faulkner's Frenchman's Bend, the hamlet in the novel of that name and a frequent setting in his fictions as a group.
