Biography:

This second "bus feller" in the story is the driver of the bus that the narrator takes from Jefferson to Memphis (93).

Note:
It is possible that these "bus fellers" are one and the same, although it iis also possible that these bus drivers are different men. The Grier boy does note that it is the same bus both days: "there was the bus, just like when Pete got into it yestiddy morning" (89). He does not, however, mention that the driver is the same man from the day before, nor does he has ask the "bus feller" in Memphis where his brother left to join the Army, which would seem likely had he recognized him from the day before. Instead, he asks, "Where do folks join the Army?" (93).
