Mike Wainwright

Dr. Michael Wainwright lectures at Royal Holloway, University of London. Darwin and Faulkner’s Novels: Evolution and Southern Fiction (Palgrave Macmillan), his first monograph, was a Choice Review of Books Outstanding Academic Title for 2009. His second monograph, Faulkner’s Gamble: Chess and Literature (Palgrave Macmillan), came out in December 2011, and Palgrave Macmillan published his third, Toward a Sociobiological Hermeneutic: Darwinian Essays on Literature, in June 2012. His latest monographs for Palgrave Macmillan are Game Theory and Minorities in American Literature (2016) and Game Theory and Postwar American Literature (2016). His other publications include articles for Mississippi Quarterly, Papers on Language and Literature, Janus Head, Brief Chronicles, and English Literature in Transition, 1880–1920.
